Who looks after you
My name is Giora. Almost sixty winters in the Alps and my own travel agency —CICMA 2283— to book your hotel directly with the resort, with no Booking and no off-the-shelf package.
Switzerland — my home ground
I was born in Geneva. From the airport to the hotel door by train, without touching a car.
The water jet, the lake and the mountains all around. Geneva is one of my favourite cities in Europe, and I say that with all the objectivity of a man who was born there.
If you like watches, rue du Mont-Blanc is a compulsory stop. And once you have bought one, entrecôte and fries at the Café de Paris: no need to read the menu, you already know what you are ordering.
At night, the old town. Stone, low light and streets that ask for a gothic dinner. The hospital where I was born is somewhere in there, though I remember very little of that particular evening.
That is the front door. Trains leave the airport for half of Switzerland and drop you in the village itself: no rental car, no snow chains, and no argument about who drives home after the après-ski.
